NSD facilitated a two day workshop on Training Needs Assessment for the Disabled, organized by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). The programme was held on 9 - 10 Jan. 2007. The workshop identified different training needs for PWDs.

NSD also organized a one day workshop on "Disabled's Access to Education For All (EFA) and School Improvement" held on 5 Jan. 2006, in Kathmandu. The program was supported by World Education, Kathmandu, Nepal.

A two-day workshop was held for the school Principals of Lalitpur district on "The Role of the Principals in the education of disabled students" on 17 and 18 Aug. 2005. The program was supported by World Vision International.

NSD conducted a five month long Book Binding Training from June 15 to December 15, 2005. The training was supported by German Development Service (ded). Ten PWDs were the beneficiary participants of the training.

            

A one day workshop on "Khane Pani Tatha Sarsafai Ma Apangaharu Ko Pahunch" (Disabled's access to drinking water and sanitation) was held on 4 July 2005. The program was supported by Water Aid Nepal, Sanepa, Lalitpur.

NSD played a leading role as the event coordinator of International Disability Day - 2003. Since then, NSD has been regularly observing this day with a wider participation from the stakeholders.
